Twin Tower, Malaysia
Petronas Twin Tower, a pride of Malaysia

We traveled mostly Subcontinental Asian countries before this Malaysia trip. I and Ema were so excited because we had planned and saved money to visit Malaysia for the first time. It was one of those tours in abroad that we didn’t take any tour operator’s assistance from Dhaka. We explored and scheduled everything from Kuala Lumpur itself. That’s why it was even more thrilling for us let alone 6 year’s old Ibti. Nonetheless according to my better half, Malaysia trip had been the sense of being in foreign country. I laughed out loud at her remark. Overnight journey by Malindo Air took us Kuala Lumpur at the right time before the sunrise.

Stunning Inani sea beach, Cox's Bazar
Stunning Inani sea beach

I first heard the name of stunning Inani Sea Beach from Bangladeshi all-time popular novelist Humayun Ahmed when I was young. I always wanted to be there ever since I knew about this place. The beach was known for coral bed or stone where you can stand or sit for a great outdoor photography. As a tourist destination, Inani Beach was developing since 1990s. It is an emerging tourist spot where basic amenities are scarce compared to its demand. I have been traveling this beach for last 2.5 decades but never blogged this stunning beach of Cox’s Bazar. It was my failure that I couldn’t do it earlier. However, it’s never too late to promote my country’s unexplored travel destination to the world stage.

Bangladesh's pride Kantaji Temple
Kantaji Temple, the one & only terracotta temple of Bangladesh

Magnificent North Bengal represents the most richest places in Bangladesh which are the gem of tourism. Remains of the ancient rampart of Mahasthangarh, complexly decorated Bangladesh’s pride Kantaji Temple and mosques inspired from Mughal Era are the reminders of our country’s diverse culture and past. Tetulia Upazilla is the farthest corner of Bangladesh and best known as “City of Dream” in Panchagarh district. If you think the view of the Kanchenjunga is the only thing to see in Pachagarh, it’s not true. There is plenty more to explore. I had been in North Bengal several times along with my client firstly by air, secondly with my in-law family by train, solo traveling by bus thirdly and lastly with official assignment by air.

Phu Quoc is best known for Pearl Island. This exotic island is very famous for white sand beaches in Vietnam. Referring to Phu Quoc people cannot help but mentioning Phu Quoc pearls, their specialties become the island’s own brand dubbing the “pearl island”. Meanwhile, Phu Quoc Island has been considered as Vietnamese Maldives. Though I didn’t visit Maldives but I didn’t want to lose the opportunity to visit the country within a country that I was visiting with my colleagues for a pleasant trip.

BARISAL BACKWATER VILLAGE TOUR

Barisal Backwater Village Tour
Barisal Backwater Village Tour

Have you ever imagined traveling Barisal Backwater Village Tour with your like minded boyhood friends?

Imagine a place where every house is like an island, surrounded by small tributaries of rivers or canals. No roads at all. Everyone only uses waterways for transportation. Just imagine where every house having one or two boats instead of cars. Every morning, children rowing to schools in groups and not taking school buses. After the sunrise, people go to the local market to buy necessities; someone goes to meet the people in the next door. Everything is happening by using gondola or country boats.

Well, you must be thinking that this is a description of the city of Venice. In fact, it is a description of a cluster of villages in the southern part of Bangladesh in Barisal division. Vimruli Bazar is an unknowingly famous floating guava market which is getting popular lately. Although the description of Floating Guava Market is somewhat similar to that of Venice, the identity of the area continues to grow in its own right. Today you will hear about the story of Barisal, previously known as Barishal, Backwater Village Tour in detail.

SUNDARBANS, AN EXCEPTIONAL FOREST

Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world
Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world

I visited Sundarbans, a couple of times. But our nomadic journey during the holidays was worth mentioning for two reasons. Using a 70-300mm lens for wildlife photography and experiencing the forest beauty by my toddler was worth recalling. In my own dictionary, I found Sundarbans as an exceptional forest.

Against all odds, I had the intention to visit Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest with my family. My friend proposed to me to take the opportunity to visit Sundarbans. He knew that I am such a person who could visit the forest anytime if I get time. My last 2 visits to Sundarbans were conducted by the same professional guided tour company. The name of the company is Bengal Tours Ltd. I can only say that they have secured our travel with utmost comforts.

Eyes of Nepal
Iconic Eyes of Nepal

Iconic Eyes of Nepal i.e. Boudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu always fascinated me for deserving a holiday. I took the instant decision with a modest plan to fly on the first day of 2011 with my family. For us, it has a port entry. In the chilly afternoon, we landed in the Himalayan Kingdom with awestruck. Window shopping around Thamel during evening time and meeting ex-colleague while inviting us for a dinner with family at the Turkish Restaurant was a good moment to spend. Having diverse types of Momos (dried and boiled) with soup, Turkish kebabs were mouth-watering experience in the very cold winter night in Kathmandu. Wow, I just loved the way 2011 started.

Bhutan, A Land of Happiness
Gateway to the Kingdom Bhutan

Does anyone have any idea why Bhutan has been branded as A Land of Happiness? Kingdom head sets this parameter. We could have been in the dark if we were not visited this strict yet happy country. My trip to this Buddha-land with family was worth visiting. If I give a few examples then it will be clear. First of all, Bhutan’s economic development measures by gross happiness of its fellow countrymen and not by GDP. It’s a very rare case in the world. Note, every traveler from the USA needs to pay US$250 extra to the Bhutanese government as a tax for traveling. On the other hand, Bangladeshi people have a port entry. It was made possible due to the SAARC treaty agreement. It’s free entry for Bangladeshi tourists which is a cool deal.
